About

A small tool with an honest job.

Quick Calorie Calc is being rebuilt as a location-neutral starting-point calculator for adults: useful enough to act on, clear enough to question and private enough to try without an account.

Our purpose

Less false certainty, more useful follow-through

The calculator uses a published resting-energy equation, a clearly labelled activity assumption and a modest goal adjustment. It shows a range rather than pretending one calculated number can be exact.

The 14-day check helps people compare an estimate with their own trend. The shopping assistant organises general food suggestions around a preference and household—it does not prescribe a diet or send an order to a retailer.

Privacy by default

Useful without creating a health profile

The calculator runs in the browser. The site does not upload body measurements or results, and there are no accounts. Light or dark mode can be remembered on the device; food and shopping preferences are stored only if the visitor chooses.

Ordinary web-hosting logs may still contain information such as an IP address, requested page and browser details. Read the privacy notice and storage explanation.

Commercial transparency

No monetisation is active in this rebuild

There are currently no display adverts, analytics trackers, affiliate links or payment facilities in this rebuild. If any are introduced later, they must pass privacy and editorial checks, be clearly labelled and be explained on the relevant policy page before activation.

Revenue would support the site only after costs, user trust and safety controls are measurable. Read the affiliate disclosure for the rules that would apply.

Safety boundary

General information, never clinical care

The site explains its method, limitations and sources so visitors can judge what the estimate can and cannot do. It must never be described as a diagnosis, prescription or personalised nutrition plan.

Health-related content is reviewed separately from implementation and corrected when evidence or recognised guidance changes. See the editorial policy.
